Funny note – Catherine is happy to be my lookout / security for when I’m standing in the road, or perched on something semi-dangerous. But in this case, she almost got overzealous in the role. A giant weird-looking bug was perched on the very top of this sunflower, and she badly wanted to go and just flick-it-off, so my picture would be perfect.
Me? I was cropping it out even as I framed the shot – he was there first, after all, and he just looked so darned comfortable (and so ready to dine in real style).
Besides, a nice wide-angle shot reads well, now that we’re all Hi-D acclimated!
