Like the parking lot of an abandoned mall

What a long heavy winter this has been. I know so many people who are feeling depleted and badly beaten-down. Made me think this poem might be just the thing with which to begin my read-aloud series.

I do take great enjoyment from life, and try to share all that I can with others, but those who know me well would never call me a blind optimist.

Still, when we can use either cold reason or warm philosophy to arrive at the same very hopeful (and unstoppable) reminder? I’m definitely in!
